My work explores how things transform through their relationships with their environment and with others, and how they can sometimes be altered to the point of becoming something else.

Rather than seeing nature and artifice, living and non-living matter, or reality and imagination as opposites, I am interested in how they influence one another and give rise to new phenomena and landscapes.

In recent years, I have been making moving-image works that explore how encounters with others can transform our sense of self, and how culture and history shape our bodies and ways of seeing. I also see human society as an environment made up of countless overlapping relationships.
My work draws on the connections that emerge between people, places and memories, and on the ways these relationships are constantly changing.

Mon travail explore la manière dont les choses se transforment au contact de leur environnement et des autres, et dont elles peuvent parfois être altérées jusqu’à devenir autre chose.

Plutôt que d’opposer la nature et l’artifice, le vivant et le non-vivant, ou encore la réalité et l’imaginaire, je m’intéresse à la manière dont ces éléments s’influencent mutuellement et font émerger de nouveaux phénomènes et de nouveaux paysages.

Ces dernières années, je réalise des œuvres vidéo autour de la manière dont la rencontre avec l’autre peut transformer la perception de soi, et dont la culture et l’histoire façonnent nos corps et nos regards. J’envisage également la société humaine comme un environnement composé d’innombrables relations qui se superposent.
Mon travail prend ainsi appui sur les liens qui se créent entre les personnes, les lieux et les mémoires, et sur leur transformation constante.

私の作品は、あるものの存在が、環境や他者との関係のなかでどのように変化し、ときに歪められ、別のものへと変容していくのかを探究しています。

自然と人工、生物と無生物、現実と想像といったものを対立するものとして捉えるのではなく、それらが互いに影響し合い、新たな現象や風景を生み出していく過程に関心があります。

近年は、他者との出会いによって変化する自己認識や、文化や歴史が身体や視線に及ぼす影響に関心を持ち、映像作品を制作しています。人間社会もまた、無数の関係が重なり合う一つの環境として捉えています。人と人、人と場所、人と記憶のあいだに生まれる関係と、その絶え間ない変化を手がかりに作品を制作しています。
