'My voice, your eyes' is an electro-acoustic music project from saxophonist composer Natsumi Kumagishi in which I have taken part as a video artist.
In an intimate staging, music and image intertwine; soundscapes and visual worlds mix and blend harmoniously to create a singular performance.

'Ma voix, tes yeux' est un projet de musique électro-acoustique de la compositrice saxophoniste Natsumi Kumagishi dans lequel j'ai intervenu en tant que vidéaste.
Dans une mise en scène intime s'emmêlent musique et image ; des paysages sonores, des mondes visuels se mélangent et complètent harmonieusement pour créer une performance unique.

「My Voice, Your Eyes」は、作曲家でありサックス奏者の熊岸奈津美氏によるエレクトロ・アコースティック音楽のプロジェクトで、私はビデオグラファーとしてコラボレーションしました。
内省的かつ私的な趣の演出の中で、音楽と映像が絡み合います。2つの世界が調和し、互いに補完し合い、唯一無二のパフォーマンスを生み出します。

The project "My Voice, Your Eyes" is a poetic exploration of identity creation through interaction with others.
In this piece "Canzona di Ringraziamento" where the swift and short sound of the saxophone gives a structure to the work, Natsumi tries to shape abstraction - the inner universe without contact with the outer world - towards something figurative.
The video blends together fragments of abstract drawings which may represent forms, symbolizing the desire for self-evolution.

Le projet "Ma voix, tes yeux" est une exploration poétique de la création de l'identité par l'intéraction avec autrui.
Dans cette pièce "Canzona di ringraziamento" où le son rapide et court du saxophone donne une structure à l'oeuvre, Natsumi tente de mettre en forme l'abstraction - l'univers intérieur sans contact avec le monde extérieur - vers quelque chose de figuratif.
La vidéo mêle des bribes de dessins abstraits susceptibles de figurer des formes, représentant le desir de l'évolution du soi.

プロジェクト「My Voice, Your Eyes」は、他者とのコミュニケーションを通して、自らのアイデンティティが創造される過程を、詩的に探求する作品です。
これはサックスの短く速い音が作品の構造を作りあげる「カンツォーナ・ディ・リングラツィアメント」という作品です。この作品を通して熊岸奈津美氏は抽象性、つまり外界との接触のない内なる宇宙を、具象的なものへと変容させようと試みています。
この映像作品は、何かの形を表現するかのような抽象的なドローイングの断片を組み合わせ、自己の進化への欲求を表現しています。

This piece combining the sound of the saxophone, singing and image, is composed of four parts each telling its own narrative.
It portrays the feeling of wonder and disarray that overwhelms us upon meeting an Other and how this inner relationship evolves, becoming more complex, as the relationship with the Other develops.
Water was my inspiration for this project depicting both stillness and strength. I have attempted to begin with a immature world where the boundary with the other is non-existent and to move towards a world in which we learn to accept the existence of the other.

Cette pièce mélangeant le son du saxophone, le chant et l'image, se compose de quatre parties qui racontent chacune une narration.
Elle dépeint le sentiment d'étonnement et de désarroi qui nous submerge lors de la rencontre avec un Autre, et comment ce rapport avec soi-même évolue, devenant plus complexe, à mesure que la relation avec l'Autre se développe.
L'eau m'a servi d'inspiration pour ce projet illustrant à la fois le calme et les forces. J'ai tenté de partir d'un monde immature où la frontière avec l'autre est inexistante pour aller vers un monde où on apprend à accepter l'existence de l'autre.

サックスの音色、歌、そして映像が融合したこの作品は、それぞれに物語のある4つのパートで構成されています。
他者と出会った時に私たちを襲う驚きと混乱、そして他者との関係が深まるにつれて、自分自身との関係がどのように変化し、より複雑になっていくかを描いています。
このプロジェクトのインスピレーションとなったのは水です。水は、静けさと力の両方を表現できると思っています。他者との境界が存在しない未成熟な世界から、他者の存在を受け入れることを学ぶ世界への移行を表現しようと試みました。
